Free Speech part 1: S.E.X.Another suggestion that i believe was first mooted
here in this forum by Jukebox in this thread; It seems that lately, sex related issues have become quite a main topic in this forum. Maybe because lately, many new forummers are teenagers. Maybe, the change of the title for the thread teens talk, that was previously titled teen and sex, have in a way contributed to the largely grown sex related issues in other threads. Or maybe, we Malaysians; particularly we malays; have really nothing better to do. Well, all this is just assumptions. But the facts still remains the same. This forum lately have been overridden by such explicit and most of the time offensive sex issues. This have cause some irritation and also problems not just to the forumers, but i guess to the admin of Cari.Com as well. With the media's recent promotion on this forum concerning its Medical Doctors Online, surely new forummers will be shocked to see such things being left uncontrolled and uncheck. Is this what free speech really means? In this era of globalisation and internet, we have to admit that sex is no more a taboo subject in our society. We have to discuss and talk about it. And sure, looking at the current situation in this forum, we really talk about it!! But a question still remains. In which direction do we want such conversation to lead us to? Its time that we take the idea of having a sex education more seriously! Yes, for years now we and our clergymen have argued about the consequenses of having such an education. Most argued that it will promote free sex and adultery among our society. But lets have a reality check for once. Look around us. Seriously you can get info about sex anywhere nowdays. Not just from the internet. You can get it from magazines, televisyen and even sometimes from commercials in the radio!! YOU CANNOT STOP THE INFORMATION!! It has really become a small world. So what can we do? The magic word would be, CONTROL! We have to control it. Control such information. Make it educational so that it will benefit society rather than it become just an entertainment full of lust and distorted illusions. Sex education is not just teaching us all the techniques and positions. It can teach us other things such as hygiene, sex-related-diseases, where to get help if you have problem about sex related issues and also most importantly the religions point of view about sex so that every individual knows how to overcome such issues according to their religions!! So where do Cari.com fit into all this. Well, i suggest we'll start by having a thread just for sex-related issues. It has to have certain rules of course!! Sex topics that is not open for discussion, such as lusty stories that is pure entertainment should be deleted. Besides helping forummers with real sex-related-issues, the more mature forummers can contribute by teaching our youngsters the proper way of raising such an issue using more suitable words such as genitals, intercourse ect. This will also help reduce such topics from overiding other unrelated threads such as what is happening now. I do hope that my suggestion will be considered by Cari.com admin and also other forummers. Hopefully, by doing this, we will be closer to the modern society that we intend to be. A society that is full of culture, living in peace and harmony, rich and prosperous. Malaysia, a country that always thrive for the better tomorrow. Wassalam.
