Me Musics View

I love music. There is no other passion in my life except music. Strange enough, I never went to any concert except for a few gigs. Maybe if the Beatles were still around I would! Hahaha.

I started playing the guitar since I was sixteen. Quite late actually compared to my peers. After listening to the Beatles, I started composing songs of my own. I would spent most of my after school hours recording 'noises' via the tape recorder. I even convert my mini hi-fi into a sort of a 'mixer', dubbing tracks upon tracks. True enough, by the time I reach my fourth 'overdub', the first rhythm section is barely audible. What do you expect. It was the early 90's. There were no 'Cakewalk', 'Acid', 'Cubase' or any other music software's around at that particular time. Even computers, were considered a bad investments for musicians like me.

Time have changed. The birth of the internet have helped 'struggling' musicians beyond our wildest imagination. Unfortunately, this is only true in Western countries like the US. In this region, including Malaysia, the music industry is still in its infancy stage. No. I'm not talking about the music. The music have made steady progress. It's the business I'm concern about. Hence, the articles I've written to help enlighten all of us about the future of music industry…
